Some responses to the statement relating to an individual overseeing ‘strategic delivery of SBE and ensure maintenance of simulation equipment…’ highlighted that this was usually two roles, not one.
Further feedback suggested that elements of this standard were replicated in other themes.
Competence of faculty remains a contentious topic and needs to be addressed, this may be an important issue to be explored by future bodies of accreditation, should faculty choose to apply for accreditation.
